Higher-capacity lifts carry more cable, travel further, and hold considerably more energy when loaded. Component failures here have more behind them, which is why inspection intervals matter more than they do on lighter installations.
Twin-motor cradles are common in this stretch, and with them comes a failure mode the single-drive lifts do not have: the two ends losing synchronisation and twisting the frame.
