Denver

The west shore, which takes the prevailing wind across the widest water.

Call (980) 447-6314 What we handle

West-facing installations take the afternoon wind and the chop that has built across the full width of the lake. That is continuous small loading on rigging, and it shortens cable life relative to the sheltered side.

It also means covered structures here do more work in wind, and hardware securing a roof over a lift deserves the same attention as the lift itself.

Worth watching here

Wind-driven cable wear and the fastenings holding covered structures.

What we get called for here

Motors

The most misdiagnosed component on the lake. Most replaced motors did not need replacing.

Cables

The component most likely to fail with a boat in the air, and the one with the least honest warning.

Gearboxes

When the motor turns and nothing rises, the drive train is where to look.

Nearby

Sherrills Ford

Further from the dense waterfront, and further from most crews.

Troutman

The upper end, where a hard drawdown changes what a lift is sitting in.
